Kath McCormack has been involved in the health industry for over 16 years working in emergency nursing (Bachelor Applied Science), occupational health (Post Grad OHS) and since 2006 owner/trainer of a group outdoor personal training business (Bachelor E. Certificate III and IV in Fitness, Strength and Condition Level 1 ASCA, Weightlifting Coach Level 2 and Crossfit Coach Level 1 ).
As an athlete, Kath represented her State in Basketball and played Representative level Basketball for over 10 years. Since retiring from basketball Kath has completed 10 half marathons, numerous sprint triathlons with a special interest in endurance Triathlon completing many Olympic distance and finisher in 2009 Geelong Half Ironman.
Kath was introduced to Crossfit in 2008, right at a time when she was feeling the ill effects of heavy endurance training. The principles of Crossfit immediately resonated with her and once she became involved with the Crossfit training methodology herself it was a quick process to incorporate it into all of her clients training.
As a Personal Trainer, Kath feels that there is no substitute for the lessons learnt when pursuing ultimate health and fitness. Personal traits of dedication, commitment, strength and sacrifice are all refined in the walls of a tough fitness program like Crossfit. Kath views her job as a true privilege – being able to aid, guide, support and strengthen those committed to being the best they can be.
“The fitness industry is not about employment for me. I choose to do this job because I know I can add value to people’s lives. I believe that any time spent on our health is the best investment we can make in life”.
Adam Mackay has been working in the fitness industry for over 10 years as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach. Adam has extensive experience in training individuals to reach personal fitness goals; however has also trained professional athletes in Motox, AFL, Beach Volleyball, Basketball and UFC at an elite level. Adam has a Degree in Human Movement/ Exercise Science, is a level 2 weightlifting coach, level 1 Crossfit coach and level 1 strength and conditioning coach. Adam is also a Personal Trainer mentor with the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers.
As an athlete Adam has competed at state level for running in the 800m, 1500m and 5km cross country. Adam is a keen surfer and loves to skateboard recreationally (was a sponsored skateboarder as a teen). Recently Adam competed in a weightlifting competition (clean and jerk 110kg) and ran a 1hr 31min half marathon within 3 weeks of each other. This is a tribute to the current Crossfit training method Adam follows.
Adam found Crossfit in 2008 when he was researching information for his own training. Crossfit soon became the only way Adam trained not only himself but all of his clients (ages ranging from 50years to 6years old). The results speak for themselves with Adam training one client to achieve their first marathon in an amazing 3 hrs 15 mins.

Ed has recently entered the fitness industry after a lifelong passion for health. Ed completeted his Crossfit level 1 in 2010 and has recently completed a certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness and an Australian Weightlifting Level 1 certificate. He has completed a Bachelor of Arts (University of Melbourne) and is currently completing a Bachelor of Nutrition (Deakin University).
As an Athlete, Ed has grown up surrounded by sport, playing AFL, Basketball, Cricket, Soccer, Boxing & Kickboxing. He has played football at TAC level and was part of a 50m Freestyle Victorian Champion team at school. He has also competed in numerous running events including a 50km ultra marathon in 2008. And has competed in Muay thai boxing in Thailand at Patong Stadium in 2009.
Ed discovered Crossfit in 2009 when he was looking to find a training programme that would allow him to train for several different upcoming sporting goals. Ed found the results of Crossfit to be unlike anything he has seen before and since then Crossfit has been the only focus of Ed’s physical training.
“As a trainer, the most enjoyable part of Crossfit for me is that it allows everyone to participate regardless of their abilities and goals. And because of this I have seen the building of a strong community which shares in each other’s achievements.”
Amy is coming up to her fifth year in the Health & Fitness Industry, currently working as a Crossfit Coach, Personal Trainer and Yoga Instructor. Amy completed her Yoga Teacher Training in 2009 at The Bhava Centre in Warrandyte for 12 months, received her certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness at The Victorian Fitness Academy in 2010, and in 2012 completed her Crossfit Level 1. Since becoming a Crossfit Coach Amy has also completed her Crossfit Gymnastics Cert in New Zealand, Crossfit Mobility in Miami with Kelly Starret and has an AWF Weightlifting Level 1 cert.
As an Athlete, Amy was surrounded by the Ballet world from the age of 4 to 16. For 12 years Amy did Classical Ballet at the Lyn McNabb Ballet Academy, completing her Advanced R.A.D with Honours. After Amy left Ballet she found Yoga in her late teens, finding many similarities in the Yoga practice and that of dancing. Wanting to gain more strength, Amy began strength training when she was 20, then coincidentally met her Crossfit Coaches in a Yoga class. Crossfit immediately attracted Amy as she loved the combination of strength, power, speed and even flexibility. Not only was she becoming stronger, faster and more powerful but also more committed, focused and even more open in her Yoga practice.

On a day to day basis I see not only myself, but clients and members achieving goals and milestones they thought were always out of reach. The Crossfit method is incredibly accommodating to so many different people, it has helped me become stronger, happier and healthier so now I only hope to share and teach this to others”
